BG Networks’ team has decades of experience in IoT Cybersecurity and Embedded Design in the Automotive and Medical markets. We are passionate about securing, updating, and monitoring IoT devices in the field and protecting your assets from adversarial attacks. We’ve collectively experienced the difficulty and challenges in implementing cybersecurity for IoT devices and have developed tools, processes, and resources to make it easy for you to design, implement, and maintain.

Colin Duggan

FOUNDER / CEO

Before founding BG Networks in 2020, Colin worked at Analog Devices (ADI) for 29 years in various engineering, management, and marketing leadership roles managing teams located in U.S., China, Europe, and India. Colin’s experience includes work in automotive, consumer, industrial, and aerospace & defense markets.

As the ADI Director of Automotive Cybersecurity and Systems Engineering, he continuously advocated for cybersecurity in embedded projects and assisted in acquiring a cybersecurity company to improve ADI’s competency in that technology.

Colin holds a BS degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Northeastern University.

Roman Lysecky

FOUNDER / CTO

Dr. Roman Lysecky is the CTO of BG Networks and Professor Emeritus of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona. He is an expert on embedded systems, IoT security, medical device security, automated threat detection and mitigation, performance and energy optimization, and non-intrusive observation methods. He is an author of over 100 research publications in top journals and conferences.

Dr. Lysecky was instrumental in content development for an Ed Tech startup called zyBooks. zyBooks was acquired by John Wiley & Sons in 2019.

Roman holds PhD, MS, and BS degrees in computer science from the University of California, Riverside.

Jerzy Rozenblit

FOUNDER / Chief Research Scientist

Dr. Jerzy Rozenblit is Chief Research Scientist at BG Networks and Distinguished Professor,  Raymond J. Oglethorpe Endowed Chair in the Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a joint appointment in the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona. He is an expert in design and analysis of complex, computer-based systems, hardware/software codesign, and simulation modeling.  He served as a research scientist and visiting professor at Siemens AG and Infineon AG Central Research and Development Laboratories in Munich, where he was instrumental in the development of codesign frameworks for embedded systems. He directs the Life-Critical Computing Systems Initiative, a research enterprise intended to improve the reliability, safety, and cybersecurity of technologies in healthcare and life-critical applications.

Jerzy holds PhD and MS degrees in computer science from Wayne State University as well as a MS degree from the Wroclaw University of Technology.

Kallee Noel

Director of Finance

Kallee Noel is Director of Finance at BG Networks. Prior to BG Networks, Kallee was Director of Finance and Operations at zyBooks. She has led a number successful, innovative software service companies from ground zero across finance & accounting, strategy, operations, and human resources.

Kallee holds a BA from Santa Clara University.

Eric Pettes

Medical Device Cybersecurity Services Lead

Eric Pettes is a Quality/Cybersecurity Management System expert with over 25 years in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and drug injectables industries. He has held VP QA/RA roles at companies like Jabil, Philips-Medisize, Hologic, and Bose, leading groundbreaking projects such as the world’s first over-the-counter hearing aid.

Eric specializes in transforming quality and cybersecurity systems, preparing small companies for FDA/ISO audits, and managing FDA inspections. He has extensive experience with ISO 13485 certifications across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific and implements cybersecurity systems in automotive (ISO 21434) and medical devices (IEC 81001-5-1).

He holds a BS in business administration from the University of New Haven, an MS in organizational leadership and quality from Marion College, and an MS in psychology from the University of Phoenix.
